The Normal Christian *lifeonline GRN Director Tom Zurowski shares his thoughts this week on living life with excellence. We think you will find the stories he shares to be very insightful, inspiring and practical as you seek to honor God in all that you do. Have an excellent week! This broadcast is 10 minutes and 19 seconds long. May 9th, 2008by Tom in InspirationMan in the Mirror
My son Jeremiah has a new best friend. He can’t seem to get enough of him. He talks to him every chance he can get. His friend seems to mimic every word he says and match every move he makes. As many of you can see from the picture, Jeremiah’s best friend is himself.
This is true about most of us. We wish everyone would be like us. We would never admit this, but our actions and words seem to prove it. As soon as someone does something in a way that we wouldn’t, our true colors seem to show. This is also the reason why so many people have so few true friends.
If we sat down and talked about our lives together, we would discuss our desperate need for change. We would recognize our weaknesses, flaws and sins and declare that something needs to give if we are going to be the people God created us to be.
Here’s the bottom line… If we are ever going to change, then we are going to need to be friends with people other than ourselves. My son Jeremiah doesn’t know this yet, but one day he will understand that he will need people to make him better.
Narcissism and Christianity just don’t mix!

Pakistan Opportunity (Share the Gospel TODAY!)
Dear friends,
What a great opportunity we have to spread the gospel in Pakistan today!
For hundreds of years, the Northwest Frontier of Pakistan has been void of the gospel of Jesus. Today I received an email from one of GRN’s friends working there. He and his workers have adopted a program that combines literacy training and ministry to unreached people groups. I have worked with these brothers in the past and believe in them greatly. Many of you may remember that GRN purchased a jeep for these evangelist a few years ago. Today that jeep takes them across mountains and streams to carry the message of Jesus to the unreached of Northern Pakistan.
Here’s the bottom line… My friends are in need of $600.00 to purchase tents (To have classes in and to sleep in), Ground mats (to sit on), writing boards, and food. These items will be used to extend the love of Christ to those who have never had the opportunity to meet Him. This will also be vehicle to serve through teaching. This is a very similar approach that GRN has adopted in Sudan, but on a smaller scale. It works! Imagine what it would be like to watch a student read the good news of Jesus on their own and have that word forever hidden in their hearts. Awesome!
Will you please pray (really) and ask how you can help meet this need today? This would be a great project for a family, business, or a church to take on. If more money comes in than is needed, then we will use it toward another Pakistan project that is similar to this one. We will do our best to provide pictures and reports of the progress made with these items. Please remember, this is the frontier, there aren’t any internet cafe’s to send information “same day.” That is why I say “we will do our best” and we will. I will be traveling to Pakistan in the next few months to see these things first hand.
Let’s do this today!
Together we are making a difference,
Tom
May 6th, 2008by Tom in InspirationTo This End We Labor
“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.” (Col.1:28&29)
“To this end…” Every ministry, organization, business, or movement usually starts with an end in mind. In fact the very need for the entity was initiated by a need for change. Some visionary mind was struck by the fact that something needed to happen to accomplish a certain goal, and so they set out on a journey to provide something unique and significant and always working with a certain end in mind.
The Apostle Paul and his friends had one goal in mind… change the world for Christ. Paul and Company set out to proclaim the good news of Jesus and to lead as many people to Him as possible. Town to town they traveled, declaring the kingdom of their God, planting churches, raising up disciples, and challenging people everywhere to live for God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength and to care for one another. Paul’s heart was to present every person (that he had influence with) to the Father as pure and preoccupied with their Lord.
It is to this very end that we labor as well. We pray that you will by all means rejoice in your salvation and that you will not take the gift of God’s grace in vain. We pray that you will always abound in the love of God and that Christ will reign as Lord of every area of your life and that you will know His perfect will and live it out with passion. It is to this end that we strive to awaken, inspire, and motivate people everywhere we go. Please join us in doing the same wherever you are today.
Bless you! May 4th, 2008by Tom in Inspiration
The Normal Christian *lifeonline This week, we take a look back at one of GRN’s favorite *lifeonline broadcasts. It has received praise from many friends of the ministry. We hope you enjoy and are encouraged by this weeks blast from the past! Have a wonderful week! This broadcast is 6 minutes and 55 seconds long. April 28th, 2008by Tom in Inspiration*lifeonline
Stop and think about it… how many people do you have in your life that really challenge you to live for God? We are not asking if your pastor preaches well on Sunday, we are asking if you really have someone who won’t let you wonder from your devotion to the living God? One thing you can be sure of is that we will always be that someone who will, without regret, spur you on to faith and good works.
Enjoy your week and enjoy *lifeonline.

The Normal Christian *lifeonline “Fragile - Handle with Care.” How many times have you seen this phrase before? It cautions all those who carry, move, or handle the object to do so with care. The contents are fragile or easily broken. People are the same way. As strong, tough and together as we try to appear, on the inside we are all very fragile and insecure. In this weeks broadcast, GRN Director Tom Zurowski shares a story from his early days of ministry that will encourage you to love people and handle them with care, just as God does with each of us. Have a wonderful week loving God and people! This broadcast is 7 minutes and 19 seconds long. April 13th, 2008by Tom in Inspiration

This broadcast is 5 minutes and 57 seconds long. April 9th, 2008by Tom in PrayerPraying For You…
I feel very inspired to pray for the friends of this ministry. Many prayer requests have come into our office over the past couple of days and we take them very seriously. Please know that this prayer is from my heart for you.
Father, I pray for each friend of this ministry. I pray that they would know you as they never have before and that your presence would surround them. I pray that each one would walk in health, free from sickness and disease. I ask that you would give them all great favor in all their dealings. I pray for peace and joy to overtake them as they walk in your grace. I pray for a fresh love for your word and prayer. I pray that each of our friends would be led by the Spirit, so they would not fulfill the lust of their flesh. May holiness be the longing of each heart and may You be their obsession. Amen.
I am so glad we are friends,
Tom Zurowski | ||
